On a beautiful night at Lynn Woods, 273 runners turned out for the weekly cross-country races.
In the 3.3-mile race, Reading’s Dave Singer led the pack with a time of 25 minutes and seven seconds, followed close behind by Lynn’s Jonathan Nop (25:15). Peabody’s John Tomaz (26:10), Lynn’s Steve Fitzgerald (26:55) and Lynn’s Paul Mahoney (26:57) rounded out the top five.
For the women, Lynn’s Lan Thach finished first (27:00), barely edging out Beverly’s Amanda Pley (27:02). Lynn’s Paula Clancy (27:06), Peabody’s Maura O’Brien (27:10) and Lynn’s Miki Divirgilio (27:22).
In the 6.1-mile race, Lynn’s Matt Veiga finished in the top spot with a time of 40:38. Following him in the top five were Malden’s Jose Viveiros (42:33), Woburn’s Chris Smith (43:16), Lynn’s Nakri Dao (43:29) and Salem’s Jason Matulewicz (43:32).
For the women, Peabody’s Akiannna Maida finished first (49:11). Following her in the top five were Reading’s Erin Hickey-Reardon (54:41), Cambridge’s Kate Seibold (56:55), Danvers’ Kristen Smith (57:41) and Beverly’s Tara Paulin (59:47).
In the kids race, a 1.59-mile course, Lynn’s Ryan Amirault finished first with a time of 13 minutes and 13 seconds, with a sight margin over Lynn’s Will Bochnak (13:15). Woburn’s Ben Morgan (14:36), Lynn’s Jason Avery (15:05) and Woburn’s Christopher Morgan (15:20) finished behind them to form the top five.
For the girls, Ipswich’s Moira Healey (14:36) took the top spot followed by Woburn’s Riley Morgan (15:19), Peabody’s Jenna Rich (15:53), Jillian Rich (15:57) and Makayla Dowling (16:43).
