The Lynn Woods Summer Cross Country series continued on a warm Wednesday night, with 260 participants running in three races.
In the 1.59-mile kids race, Lynn’s Alan Mendez led the way with a time of 15 minutes and six seconds. Lynn’s Danny Lopez (16:12), Christian Marsh (16:47), Bill Marsh (16:47) and Woburn’s Christopher Morgan (18:11) also finished in the top five.
For the girls, Ipswich’s Moira Healey earned the top spot (15:38), while Salem’s Malikai Kugel (16:15), Bailey Ferguson (18:28), Ipswich’s Mairead Healey (21:51) and Georgetown’s Neve McNally (23:28) followed her in the top five.
In the 2.3-mile Cornell to Stone Tower Trail race, Marblehead’s Oliver Jacob earned first place with a time of 15:12. Haverhill’s Dave Dunham was a close second (15:21), while Salem’s Jason Barnes (15:27), Marblehead’s Ian Strothers (15:32) and Lynn’s Tony Mwangi (17:20) round out the top five males.
For the women, Peabody’s Brittani Atkinson was the top finisher (19:09). Following her in the top five were Peabody’s Lai-Sahn Hackett (19:15), Lynn’s Miki Divirgilio (19:50), Peabody’s Andrea Saccardo (20:20) and Marblehead’s Mia Forster (20:35).
In the 6.1-mile Tour de Lynn Woods race, Woburn’s Chris Smith notched the top spot at 45:20. Salem’s William Jackson finished right behind him (45:20), while Lynn’s Jim Pawlicki (45:40), Lynn’s Nakri Dao (45:55) and Boxford’s Jeff Hixon (46:24) rounded out the top five.
For the women, Kristen Smith of Danvers finished first (57:27), while Exeter NH’s Bethany Mao (1:00:55), Lynn’s Meghan Clancy (1:02:05), Georgetown’s Phyllis Fogarty (1:03:40) and Lynn’s Dina Komarova (1:03:59) followed her in the top five.
