There was plenty of action in the Lynn Parks and Rec basketball league games Wednesday night, as Friday’s championship draws closer.
In the elementary school division, Lynn Housing Authority edged McGinn, 20-18. Ly Rivera came through with a game-high 11 points for LHA, with Kevin Mendez chipping in eight. Nelson Oh (8) and Omri Merryman (6) were the high scorers for the losing team.
In the middle school division, Gannon Building beat Pizza Lovers, 29-26. Kayjuan Anderson led the winners with 14 points while Julian Peralta added seven. Dante Reyes came through with six points for Pizza Lovers.
It was an offensive showdown between Lancelot Janitorial Supplies and NRT, and Lancelot coming away with the 44-40 victory. Alja Barry and Joaquin Cresta both scored 14 points.
In the high school division, B & B Pest Control topped Fraser, 56-42. Jalen Johnson scored a game-high 17 points, and his teammate Angel Soto added 11. Tyler Serragamo (11) and Alder Calfort (10) were the leading scorers for Fraser.
In the final game of the night, Columbia Insurance topped Neal A. Price, 68-46. St. Mary’s star Calvin Johnson led the way for Columbia with 18 points, and English’s Iverson Lopes was Price’s top scorer.
The Parks and Rec league wraps up Friday, with the championship tipping off at 5 p.m. at Marian Gardens.
