With a solid 60-25 win over Medford at home on Wednesday night, the Lynn Classical Rams girls’ basketball team has qualified for the state tournament with several games left on the schedule.
“This was obviously a big win for us because it’s the one that got us into the tournament,” said Classical coach Tom Sawyer. “To be able to qualify with games left in the season is a great feeling, and it was a goal for us all year.”
Paris Wilkey led the way for the Rams (11-6) with 21 points, while Jeylly Medrano contributed 14 points. Point guard Chenysse Hill had 10 points in the win.
“We’ve got to keep the momentum going now,” Sawyer said. “We’re not done yet, that’s for sure.”

Wilkey was again the Rams’ leading scorer, racking up 22 points. Soneta Srey added 15 and Hill chipped in with nine.
