SAUGUS — A three-alarm fire broke out at 57 Harrison Ave. in Saugus on Friday night. Crews were called to the scene at approximately 7:16 p.m.
Multiple people were inside the house at the time, but they were able to evacuate safely and nobody was harmed.
“Everyone was evacuated as the firefighters got here,” Saugus Deputy Fire Chief Don Shea said. “It was a wind-driven fire. Nobody got hurt, everyone was safe and we were able to put the fire out.”

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but the house suffered heavy damage as a result.
“Because of the wind, that drove it right up into the attic space,” Shea said. “There is substantial damage.”
Fire crews from Lynn, Melrose, MassPort, Revere and Saugus were on the scene.
