LYNN — Sebastien Bejin, of Lynn, was arrested on Monday in connection with last Wednesday’s armed robbery at Compare Supermarket.
Police believe Bejin, 26, robbed a 20-year-old Lynn man at the supermarket at gunpoint. The victim handed over only $3 in cash, but Bejin allegedly searched him, took his car keys, and drove off in his car. Bejin had told the victim to walk with him in the store, while showing him a gun in his waistband.
Police found the car on Meadow Court a few hours after the robbery was reported. The girlfriend of the victim told police she had found the car earlier on Collins Street, and said she was the owner.
Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said the detectives conducting the investigation got a warrant for Bejin’s arrest. The state police told them Bejin was at Lynn District Court and arrested him there around 10 a.m. Bejin was charged with armed robbery and larceny of a motor vehicle.
