SAUGUS — Jeannine Reardon said it was a family tradition to see the Boston Ballet’s performance of “The Nutcracker” until she saw her daughter in a mouse costume lighting up the stage with the Northeast Youth Ballet.
“When I see her expression, her whole face lights up — you just can’t fake that onstage,” said Reardon of her 9-year-old ballerina, Ashley Reardon. “It’s very humbling. My husband and I are very proud to watch her.”
