REVERE — Police are investigating a pitbull bite that left a person with severe lacerations to the right hand and lower arm on Monday. The victim’s identity is unknown at this time.
The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. The victim was the friend of a man who was watching the dog for a friend, according to Revere Police Lt. Amy O’Hara.
O’Hara would provide no further details surrounding the circumstances of the bite that she said occurred at 4:45 p.m. on the third floor of 318 Squire Road. She said officers corralled the dog on the back porch until Animal Control took custody of it for quarantine and investigation.
