REVERE — The Revere Police Department Drug / Gang Unit concluded a two-month undercover narcotics investigation resulting in 12 arrests for distribution of a Class B substance, crack cocaine and cocaine.
Multiple agencies including the Winthrop Police Department, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, and the FBI Northshore Gang Task Force assisted in the four-day roundup of 12 identified targets in the Shirley Ave. and Beachmont areas of Revere.
During the investigation, detectives also executed two search warrants: one in the Shirley Avenue area, and a second in the Beachmont area. Detectives seized in excess of 70 grams of cocaine and $17,000 in cash.
The targets of the investigation were identified by Revere Police Detectives as impact players and prioritized for investigative resources because of their criminal activity in the city neighborhoods, and the Revere Police Department’s commitment to improving the quality of life in the community.
