REVERE — Mayor Brian Arrigo will host six community forums this year for residents to ask questions and discuss city services and quality of life issues.
The first is tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the Beachmont School Auditorium.
“Not everybody has the ability to come up to my office at City Hall, so I decided to bring City Hall to each ward,” Arrigo said in a statement.
The first term mayor also said it’s crucial to establish and maintain a line of communication with the city’s residents. He noted that listening to resident’s suggestions, questions and concerns will help his administration develop policies that systematically meet the needs of the city.
“In order for Revere to achieve its full potential, city councilors, school committee members, and our state and federal delegations will have to work together,” he said.
Arrigo said he is hopeful that the gatherings will allow city officials and voters to have productive conversations about the city’s future.
Ward 2 will hold its forum Wednesday, May 18 at Garfield School Cafeteria. Ward 3 will be Wednesday, June 1 at Lincoln School Cafeteria; Ward 4 will be Tuesday, July 26 at the American Legion Building; Ward 5 will be Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the Point of Pines Yacht Club; and Ward 6 will be Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Whelan School Auditorium.
