A report of a suicide attempt by pills at 8:33 a.m. Saturday on Crestwood Road. An elderly woman reported taking a half a bottle of Percocet pills and no longer wants to live. She was taken to Salem Hospital.
A report of the air conditioner on and bothering the neighbor at 10:59 a.m. Saturday on Widger Road. An officer reported the neighbor at 46 Cornell complained about the air conditioner being left on at Widger Road and it was bothering him. The officer reported standing near the air conditioner and could not hear anything.
A report of a well-being check at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Martin Street. A caller from out of state was concerned about a woman he knows from high school. He thought she might have overdosed on medication. She apparently told him she was taking different medication and was drinking alcohol. The woman wasn’t answering her cell phone and police entered her house. Police reported she was sleeping and had taken her phone off the hook. The caller reported her again, stating that he had received a text message from her saying she was throwing her phone out the window and “I’ll see you on the other side.” An officer reported she was fine and was sleeping.
A report of terrible music at 6:34 p.m. Saturday on Cloutmans Lane. A caller reported he was “listening to the worst music of his entire life” coming from across the ocean. He would like it noted and understood that nothing could be done.
A report of beer thrown at a pedestrian at 9:55 p.m. Saturday on Ocean Avenue. While walking on the causeway, a pedestrian had a beer thrown at her by an SUV that pulled into the residence lot of Devereux Beach.
A report of a person lighting up a bong at 10:35 p.m. Saturday on Pleasant Street.
Fire
A report of a barrel fire with black smoke at 1:29 p.m. Saturday at South and Waldron streets. A caller reported the fire began at 10 a.m. and started spewing black smoke into her home. She went over and asked what was going on and they told her it would be going on for another four hours. She stated it was in a barrel. An officer reported the fire was from a barbecue grill.

An officer reported the pole splintered completely through the bottom. The driver was taken to Salem Hospital.
