A report of a traffic hazard at 12:34 a.m. Saturday at Sonic Drive-In at 55 Newbury St. A caller reported a person fell asleep at the wheel in the drive-thru. An officer spoke with the person in the vehicle and reported there was no smell of alcohol. The person was just tired.
A report of a failure to stop at 4:47 p.m. Saturday at Central Street and 2 Pulaski St. An officer attempted to a stop a motorcycle for operating to endanger. The driver took a right onto Gardner Street, then onto Margin Street. An officer stated the driver was on the wrong side of the road on North Street in Salem. The officer discontinued the attempt to stop and the motorcycle was last seen taking a right onto School Street in Salem. The motorcycle was located again on Mount Vernon Street. Bronsilberg P. Desouza, 29, was later stopped and arrested.
Fire
A report of a car fire at 12:57 p.m. Saturday at Auto Mall at 218 Andover St. An officer reported flames were coming out of the vehicle and fluids were coming from the back. The fire department inspected the vehicle and found nothing suspicious.
Theft
A report of a stolen bicycle at 1:13 p.m. Saturday at 140 Main St. It is described as a blue mongoose bike with pegs on the back wheels.
