Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run accident at 2:13 p.m. Sunday on Pleasant Street.

A report of a pedestrian accident at 7:24 a.m. Monday on Jersey Street. A man told police he was passing a trash truck, and struck one of the workers with his mirror in the process. He stated the worker claimed he had little to no injury.

Breaking and Entering

A report of a breaking and entering at 3:13 p.m. Sunday on Lafayette Street. A caller reported his garage and vehicle were broken into and thought some small items from his car were missing. Police reported it appeared to be a breaking and entering to a garage across from St. Andrew’s.

One person was taken to Union Hospital; at 9:33 a.m. Monday at 23 Central St. and 2 Hardy St. Police reported a telephone pole was struck and damaged; at 11:52 a.m. Monday at 172 Washington St. and 2 Dustin St.

A caller reported an unknown man in a blue minivan going through trash cans making lots of noise and tearing open trash bags, making a mess. Ketly Megie, 62, of Lynn, was arrested.

Overdose

A report of an overdose at 1:32 p.m. Monday on Sylvan Street. A caller reported a man passed out in the middle of the roadway in a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested by State Police for OUI drugs.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 4:58 p.m. Sunday at 30 Ellsworth Road. A caller reported a rock was thrown through her front door glass the prior night; at 7:20 a.m. Monday at 55R Lynnfield St. A caller reported her daughter’s vehicle was egged. There are no suspects; at 7:34 a.m. Monday at 11R Mason St. A caller reported vandalism to vehicles on his property and stated he had the event on camera; at 12:25 p.m. Monday at Bishop Fenwick School at 83 Margin St. Vandalism to the side door was reported; at 12:38 p.m. Monday at 2 Honey Lane. A caller reported his house was egged on Saturday.

Robert Silvia, 50, of 21 Walden Square Road, Apt. 674, Cambridge, was arrested and charged with nighttime building breaking and entering for a felony, attempt to commit a crime (larceny from a building), speeding, marked lanes violation, red light violation, failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender, possession of a burglarious instrument and receiving a stolen motor vehicle at 3:02 a.m. Sunday.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:28 p.m. Friday at Stocker and Winter streets; at 10:32 a.m. Saturday at 1500 Broadway. A two-car accident was reported. All occupants of the vehicles declined treatment; at 1 p.m. Saturday at 383 Essex St. A three-car accident was reported; at 4:17 p.m. Saturday at Home Depot at 564 Broadway; at 2:59 p.m. Sunday on Main Street. An officer reported being rear ended in the area of the Main Street overpass. There were no reported injuries.

A report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury at 4:14 p.m. Saturday at 71 Summer St. A caller reported a two-car accident. One car struck another car while it was parked and also caused damage to the garage at the address. One person was taken to Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run accident at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at Walgreens at 1228 Broadway.

Breaking and Entering

A report of a breaking and entering at 3:02 a.m. Sunday at Santoro’s Sub-Villa at 259 Essex St. The alarm company reported a commercial burglar alarm. Police reported a confirmed break-in and witnessed a U-Haul truck leaving the scene. Police attempted to stop the U-Haul truck on Walnut Street, but the vehicle took off. The vehicle passed by Lynnhurst School at speeds of 50 mph with very light traffic and later ran a red light at the 7-Eleven on Summer Street. Police reported the vehicle entered over the bridge at Route 107 on the wrong side of the road, and went through the rotary at 50 mph onto Ward Street. The U-Haul hit a Revere Police cruiser, blocking the street and crashed into Gulino’s Auto Body in Revere. Police reported the truck and building were on fire. The suspect went into the building, where he was found and placed under arrest. Robert Silvia, 50, of 21 Walden Square Road, Apt. 674, Cambridge, was arrested; at 3:19 a.m. Sunday at Fuddruckers Restaurant/Boland Group at 910 Broadway. The alarm company reported a commercial burglar alarm. Police reported a confirmed breaking and entering, with theft attempted on an ATM.
