LYNN — Police are investigating whether two Saturday shootings are related after a man was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound and two parked vehicles were damaged.
Police responded to the area of 20 High Rock St. at about 1:10 a.m. on a report of shots fired. Officers found a 30-year-old Lynn man with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper left leg and buttock. He was taken to Salem Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Lynn Police Lt. David Brown said.
“The initial reports indicated that the victim was outside on a front porch, when a male suspect, who fled the area, shot at him from the street,” Brown added.
Police later responded to the area of 162 Washington St., near Hamilton Avenue, on multiple reports of shots fired, Brown said, where they discovered two parked vehicles had been shot up.
Both incidents are being investigated by the Lynn Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. No arrests have been made.
