LYNN — A woman was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, after refusing to turn the music down at her party, Lynn Police Lt. Glenn Dunnigan said.
Haydee Quezada, 27, of 38 Hanover St., was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and on a warrant at 2:58 a.m. Saturday.
Officers asked Quezada several times to turn her music off at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, but she refused. She had “very large party” inside her apartment and most of the partygoers left upon police arrival, Dunnigan said.
Quezada ran out of her apartment and began to bang on all of the other apartment doors in an attempt to find out which neighbor called police on her, Dunnigan said.
Quezada was arrested for disturbing the peace and on warrants, Dunnigan said.
“Once she was placed in handcuffs, she kicked the officers in the shins and spit at them as well, along with a few profanities thrown their way,” Dunnigan said.
She was subsequently charged with assault and battery on a police officer, Dunnigan said.
