REVERE — Two men were arrested Tuesday following a four-month investigation into a heroin trafficking organization operating in Boston and Revere, state police said.
Luis Alberto Medina-Feliciano, 40, of 570 Blue Hill Ave., Dorchester, was arrested and charged with heroin/morphine/opium trafficking at 1:42 p.m. Tuesday.
Jorge Luis Mendez-Baez, 26, of 51 Orlando St., Mattapan, was arrested and charged with heroin/morphine/opium trafficking at 1:42 p.m. Tuesday.
The two men were taken into custody in Revere and were arraigned Wednesday in Chelsea District Court, state police said.
The investigation, conducted by state police, Boston and Revere police, resulted in the seizure of a significant number of opioid narcotics, and involved undercover purchases of significant amounts of heroin, state police said.
Police executed a search warrant at the Mattapan residence of one of the men, which resulted in the seizure of more than two kilograms of suspected heroin and/or Fentanyl, a Sig Sauer .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, and a white powder that is believed to be used as a cutting agent — something that is mixed with the drugs, state police said.
