A 26-year-old mother of three is asking for help to make her three children’s holiday season a little brighter.
She tells the story of how far she’s come over the past few years.
“I feel very blessed to be where I am today,” the mother writes. “(Two) years ago, my children and I were in a shelter for about a year and a half.”
Now in Section 8 housing, the mother writes that her two older children, are in school, and her youngest is in early intervention for speech.
“She’s doing very well now,” the mom adds.

Her oldest child, who will turn 6 in the coming weeks, loves to draw and play with Barbie dolls, and the youngest “has an interest in baby dolls.” Her son is “obsessed with trucks of all kinds.”
But as she continues to support her family, the young mother knows she won’t be able to afford many presents, and is asking for our readers’ help.
