“Housing Families is appreciative for the support of the community and all of our sponsors, who are helping to make this field day possible. We are excited for a successful event and to further support the families in need throughout the greater Boston area,” said Ed Cameron, Housing Families Inc. chief executive officer, in a statement provided by HFI.
HFI receives support for the field day from BOND , a full-service construction management and general contracting company, and Nickerson, a full-service marketing and communications agency specializing in real estate, as well as Income Tax Plus, a Massachusetts financial service company.
Active in the area for 30 years, HFI has established several initiatives to combat homelessness and disenfranchisement by providing temporary shelter and affordable housing options to more than 3,600 homeless and at-risk families in the greater Boston area.
The organization was founded by community members concerned about the growing crisis of homelessness among families in greater Boston. Since then, Housing Families has grown into one of the largest providers of family shelter in Massachusetts.
Housing Families’ central mission is to help families build the skills and understanding they need to make a successful transition into their own home, and to prevent any recurrence of homelessness. To learn more about Housing Families visit www.housingfamilies.org.
