LYNN—Crown Variety was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night.
Police responded to the Lewis Street convenience store at approximately 11:15 p.m. The clerk told police that a white man in his 30s or 40s pointed a gun at him and demanded money, Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said.
The clerk told police the suspect opened the register and took about $100 in cash, and then fled the store in an unknown direction, Donnelly said.
Police don’t believe the robbery is connected to other convenience store robberies that have been reported during the last few weeks. The incident is under investigation.
