Early this morning, we went into the Cleveland Public Square, where Black Lives Matter had a very peaceful demonstration. A lot of people listened and learned.
We then moved on to the House of Blues, where we met Michel Faulkner, the former New York Jet and black pastor, the businessman who’s running for mayor against (New York City Mayor Bill) de Blasio. There’s going to be a big event later in the week at the House of Blues that we’ll help organize.
We then proceeded over to the convention, where we introduced Faulkner, the New York mayoral candidate, to Kirsten Hughes, the Republican Party chairman. We met with a number of the Massachusett delegation.
As you can see from some of the photos that we have tweeted, the unified convention solidified around Donald Trump. The challenge that was put in the rules was defeated when they polled the nine districts, and only six of them had enough delegate votes to go forward. It was enough to question the rules.
Today was a very good day for Trump. It came forward as a united and cohesive Republican Party starting to (get) behind Trump.
