LYNN — Police are searching for the man who robbed another man at gunpoint on Park Street near North Common Street on Jan. 22.
Lynn police responded to the area at approximately 11:15 a.m. to find a 44-year-old male victim.
“The victim stated that he was walking on Park Street when the suspect struck him in the face with a gun and then robbed him of his money and personal belongings,” Lynn police said in a statement on their Facebook page.
Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said the suspect allegedly took the victim’s wallet, which contained $20 in cash and some credit cards, his wedding ring and his cellphone. The suspect allegedly hit the victim with his gun, and then threatened to shoot him if he didn’t give him his property.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 23-25 years old, about 5-foot 6-inches feet tall and skinny. Anyone with information is urged to call Lynn police at (781) 595-2000.
