LYNN - A Lynn man was killed Friday after a flat-bed tow truck carrying an SUV plowed into the Honda Civic he was riding in on the Lynnway just after 4:30 p.m.

The 23-year-old man, whose identity state police did not release, was sitting in the back seat of the 1998 Civic when the crash occurred and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Civic’s driver, Ronnie Huon, 22, of Lynn and front seat passenger, Cassandra Pok, 18, of Lynn, were able to get out of the Civic and were then transported by ambulance to Salem Hospital.

My heart goes out to the victim's, The driver for G/j towing & g/j towing themselves. Everyone now has to pick up the peice's over just a simple turning of his head of the road for a moment. G/j towing is a well known company & I'm sure there doing their part to help & not let something like this happen again! My thought's & praires.

One man is dead, two others injured and the young man who was operating the tow truck life is forever changed. He has the world coming down on his head. He will have to live with the horror of this accident forever. Wondering if he could have done anything to avoid the collision. Whether it was human or mechanical error. Would you want to be in his shoes with people pointing their fingers who don't have all the information? Of course not.Lets wait for the State to finish their investigation before anyone comes to a conclusion.

How sad. Sitting there minding your own business at a red light in the afternoon, and next thing you know, you're dead. My condolences to this man's family and friends. Live every day as if it were your last, people.

Either the tow truck's breaks failed or he was not watching the road at all, if so what the hell was he watching: his cell phone? Two innocent young people hurt & traumatized for life, and one young person stuffed out in an instant & for what? A text message?
