LYNN GE management is out of control. Just heard they are taking the NURSES out of the in plant medical center... and replacing them with outside contracted help. So what happens to confidential info shared by employees with these nurses over the years? I see a MAJOR lawsuit coming. Anything to save a buck no matter how small the sacrifice.

I knew of this sad tragedy moments after the fact, yet how is it the Lynn Daily Item, headquartered across the street with-in shouting distance from the scene, reports more than two days later, and even then only parrots the police report; are there any news investigators left behind the facade of that old building? Seriously, because I need a job.

The boy's dad died too? What a sad story and what a pathetic excuse for a mother. I hope the father is at peace again with his son and God. Why isn't this sick lady charged with murder? Why only attempted? If she missed a dozen appointments over 3yrs why didn't dss step in and take the child? Sounds like the system failed to protect this boy and the mother failed at being a half decent human being. What a scumbag. They should slowly poison her jail food and let her suffer too.

More great work by LPD, but shame on our courts that facilitate our ongoing and increasing drug problems through the usual lack of criminal deterrence.

Another story of one of our neighborhood slugs in action. And again he is fortunate that he became brain dead in MA, where other than the police, only the thugs have handguns. This story might have very well had a different ending if it unfolded in another state that views its honest and working people as responsible citizens and authorizes them to bear arms. Actually, it might not have even occurred.

Morneau got a tougher sentence from Touchy Feeley than the Peabody guy, Monico. Morneau robbed one bank armed and threatened to blow it up while Monico tried to rob 7 and was charged with 4 counts of unarmed robbery and 3 of stealing. Morneau made no excuses while Monico had claims of drug addiction and a tough childhood. Morneau gets 5-8 years while Monico gets 2-5. Monreau appears to have got shafted with no priors mentioned while Monico got an admitted break from Feeley because of no priors, but also by having a military record. Talk about biased, inconsistent sentencing.

Did he "luck out"? Maybe he was actually innocent? I've had this happen to a friend of mine. His stepdaughter accused him and stuck by her story through police investigations, detectives , therapists and counsellors. It was only after spectacularly failing a lie detector test that all charges were dropped. Only one person knows what happened to that girl besides here and the jury said it wasnt this guy

5 and 2 to run concurrent and out on a ridiculous bail when he beat another person to death. Then again he has destroyed a number of lives peddling heroin. He is the root of all evil - ruining families, breeding other drug dealers, facilitating prostitution and other crimes for addicts to acquire drug money. Howie took good care of him.

That seemed to be a very effective way to get a bunch of these rocket scientists off the streets. I'm sure most of these guys have some sort of warrants out on them.

Great job by our mil; however, BHO and company didn't even get an honorable mention because it almost turned into a disaster through white house indecision, unrealistic restrictions on the mil and misguided attempts to manage the incident by law enforcement (FBI). I guess BHO wanted to send them a summons to appear. The events behind the scenes of the story are beginning to surface.

Send them to Iraq so they can play with guns since they like shooting so much. It would def. send a message to the rest of them.

Why not give a bit more exposure and explanation of the KIPP program? They are leading in MCAS scores after all... among other great things. (not to say that the paper doesn't give them props often) But fox25 should have spent a little more time interviewing them.
