Election Day 2016: Lynn win for Coppinger

LYNN–Democratic candidate for Essex County Sheriff Kevin Coppinger easily outdistanced Republican candidate Anne Manning-Martin in his hometown.

Coppinger received 23,542 votes, or 78 percent, to 3,858 for Manning-Martin.

With 63 percent of 52,500 registered voters casting ballots, Hillary Clinton received 21,841 votes, or 67 percent, to 9,174 for Donald Trump.

Lynn residents voted yes on expanded slot gambling, no by 62 percent on expanding charter schools, yes on Question 3, the animal rights vote, and yes on Question 4, the marijuana legalization vote, 53-47 percent.
