The Daily Item’s Newspapers In Education program is designed to help teachers integrate The Daily Item into their classroom lessons. The Daily Item is a valuable educational tool that teaches students about current events, their community, and issues that affect their lives. It can also be used to teach math, history, reading, writing, critical thinking, grammar, geography, economics and much more!

The Daily Item supplies teaching supplements that assist in using the paper in the classroom. In addition The Daily Item sponsors a local Spelling Bee annually, reading programs and a host of other educational activities.
