LYNNFIELD – We all go through difficult times and most of us find the strength to deal with them. Sometimes, because of bad luck, poor choices or other reasons, we may need a little more help.
Places like the Boston Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter, are able to assist individuals who have fallen into homelessness. The Mission has historically received strong support from the community. Its volunteers do activities as seemingly small as dropping by with food or serving meals. These gestures are anything but small and make a difference in the lives of many.
“We see so many examples of this kind of strength at Boston Rescue Mission; they inspire us,” said Kathryn Soderberg, president of Soderberg Insurance Services.
Soderberg hosts an annual food drive from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31. For every insurance policy quoted, her firm makes a financial donation to Boston Rescue Mission, which has been helping the homeless for more than 100 years. Volunteerism is critical, but places like Boston Rescue Mission also need financial support. Soderberg said “it gives us great pleasure to support this worthy charity on behalf of our clients.”
