Kettle Cuisine acquires Del Monaco Foods

LYNN — Kettle Cuisine, a producer of refrigerated and frozen soups, has purchased Del Monaco Foods, a privately-held California company, for an undisclosed price.

The acquisition makes Kettle Cuisine a coast-to-coast fresh soup producer with plants on the Lynnway and in Morgan Hill, Calif., according to a company statement. The acquisition expands Kettle Cuisine’s ability to serve retail and food service customers, they said.

Del Monaco principals Vic and Tony Del Monaco praised the acquisition.

Since 1998, Del Monaco has manufactured soups, sauces and other speciality items. The acquisition represents the second purchase completed by Kettle Cuisine since being acquired by Kainos Capital in 2015.
