LYNN It was standing room only at North Shore Adult Day Health Care Friday as clients and guests came together to help the facility celebrate its third anniversary.
Tucked away at 191 North Common, the unassuming building looks more like a storefront, but Program Director Patti Nardone said it is rarely quiet.
"We're here seven days a week 363 days a year," she said. "The only days we close are Christmas and New Year's Day.
She likened the program to child care for adults with a few more services thrown in.
"We pick up everyone every day," she said. "We check their vitals, give them their medications, we have an activities department and four full-time nurses on staff."
Nardone said they also provide their clients, who are largely Dominican, with two meals a day, exercise classes and rides to doctor appointments.
Friday the crowd was treated to visits from Lynn Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy, Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll, state Reps. Steve Walsh of Lynn and John Keenan of Salem.
"We actually serve four cities: Lynn, Salem, Beverly and Peabody," said Marketing Director Yoleny Ynoa.
