Lynn native, U.S. Army veteran

Dr. Norman R. Farnsworth, 81 of Illinois died September 10, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla (Marston) Farnsworth,

Dr. Farnsworth was born in Lynn, son of the late Lee and Zelma (Furbush) Farnsworth. He was a Unites States Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.

He was the beloved brother of Bruce Farnsworth and his wife Donna, Nancy Lee Farnsworth and the late Bethany Staples. Fond uncle of Bonnie Staples and her husband Stan Carden, Kurt Farnsworth and his wife Julia, great uncle of Bethany Derousie, Sharlie Darling, Alexa Farnsworth, Cameron Farnsworth and Michael Darling.

Service Information: Funeral Services will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn Friday at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation period will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to The University of Illinois Foundation/ University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Pharmacy, for the specific purposes of supporting the principle endowment of the Norman R. Farnsworth, Endowed Professorship in the Dept. of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, College of Pharmacy, University of Illinois at Chicago, 833 S. Wood St. Chicago, Il. 60612.
