A report of a motor vehicle accident at 1:28 p.m. Monday at Casino Road and Atlantic Avenue. A caller reported an item fell out of a truck in front of her so she hit her brakes. While doing that, a vehicle behind her slammed into her car. Police reported a propane tank fell off the back of the truck, but later stated that it was actually a tank for a refrigerator component.

Assaults
A report of an assault at 7:58 a.m. Monday on Lee Street. A man came into the police station to report someone stabbed him in the eye. Police requested medical aid for a deep puncture wound on the person’s neck; at 5:41 p.m. Monday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported the driver of a red Tacoma pulled over, got out and started “beating” the passenger, before getting back into his vehicle and driving up Village Street.

An Ocean Avenue caller reported at 11:41 a.m. Sunday that she is going through a divorce with her husband, and while she was working in her garage, an elderly man wearing an American flag shirt got out and said “I am sorry, I thought your house was for sale.” He then proceeded to say “I will go watch the boat races then” and got into his car and drove away. The caller thought the man was sent by her soon to be ex-husband.

A caller reported a couple put up a hammock in Chandler Hovey and were having sex in open view at 8:38 p.m. Monday on Lighthouse Lane. The witness later told police that it wasn’t observed, and she just assumed they were having sex, but their clothes weren’t off at any time.
A report of suspicious activity at 10:34 p.m. Monday at Wilson and Marion roads. A caller reported the occupants of a maroon sedan parked on Wilson may have been doing drugs.
